2020 Season update related to COVID-19

It is with great disappointment that the 2020 Malibu Little League season can not proceed. We as a board feel that due to the continued uncertainty as COVID-19 continues runs rampant in our county it would not be in the best interest of our community to re-activate the season. 
 
The timing of the epidemic outbreak could not have been worse for the league financially. Most of our expenses are front loaded into the season. Those frontend costs are primarily made up of 3rd party fieldwork & uniforms. Because of these upfront costs, we have several options for refunds based on your players' division.
 
BASEBALL:
Majors (Braves & Cubs)
  1. 50% cash refund
  2. 100% credit towards 2021 MLL Season
    1. For those players, interested in Pony next year they will work with families that have a financial burden to reduce the cost of organized sports.
AA (Dodgers, Red Sox & A's)
  1. 50% cash refund
  2. 100% credit towards 2021 MLL Season
AAA (Angels, Pirates & Mets)
  1. 50% cash refund
  2. 100% credit towards 2021 MLL Season
Note:
  • If you choose, the 50% credit you can claim the balance as a donation to help offset that incurred expense. 
  • You also have the option to donate up to 100% of the fees paid to MLL if you are able.  However, please understand that there is no pressure to donate.  We understand that many families are facing financial strain during this time and we do not wish to impose further financial hardships on you.  We just ask that if you are able to donate, that you might consider it to help MLL offset its losses this season.
